Dawn: As a young girl, my mother would take me on her thrift shop rounds and that is where I learned the thrill of finding the unique, unusual and interesting items. As a seamstress and designer, my mother taught me how to redesign second hand clothing, and instilled in me the value (and thrill) of frugality. It was during this time that I learned second hand can be very stylish. While I do sew, I didn't ever become the great seamstress that she is. BUT, I did pick up the fundamentals of design from her and I feel very blessed to be able to incorporate these early teachings into my every day life. Over the years, I have amassed an eclectic display of vintage clothing and housewares, and I have always loved imagining the story each item could tell me. I still do. And so the hunt continues....
